This 4-part series was designed for those with PD who are able to practice a more energetic style of mat Yoga. Each 75-minute class in the series will move through seated, standing and supine postures chosen specifically for their ability to help ease the symptoms of Parkinson’s.
Each class in the series will focus on a theme related to managing symptoms. Yoga Nidra, a meditation practice that has been proven to increase dopamine and calm the nervous system will be included in each class.
No Yoga experience is necessary, but participants must be able to get up and down from the floor and walk unassisted. (We will be using the wall for some postures.)
NOTE: THIS CLASS IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH PARKINSON’S DISEASE.
